I actually found dynamic in the SDV8 to be less fun than the SDV6. There was a lot more weight over the nose and I could feel it. |

I agree with you on this one AB,,i tried the V8 & that's one of the reasons I went for the V6,,throwing it into corners wasn't the same, just too heavy on the front. Also the 0-60 is only about 0.3 sec difference. That's why I always buy from a LR dealer & get the warranty.

News to me. Yes, there have been a few (very few) reported, but not enough to classify this as a "characteristic" of this engine. I have had three of them, two in Jags and this one, and have done over 200,000 miles with them. Never a problem. And the Jag forums don't report such issues in significant numbers, either. What makes you think it is such a big problem? MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems. By the age of 50 you have the face you deserve - George Orwell. |

a fairly significant number of terminal failures in ZA, from online surveys, the figures stands at a conservative 13%-16%.

There will always be random engine failures. Anything mechanical can and will break.

in the case of ZA vehicles, we can rule out the oil contamination factor, since none of the ZA-spec TDV6/SDV6 are equipped with a DPF.
