United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Firenze Red
Belt Question??

Morning,

Quick belt related question regarding the TDV6 - I understand from research that both drive belts are changed typically at 100k. I have seen a car that I am interested in buying which had both belts changed at 60k, that being the case when would they be due next??

It has a full documented service history and bills to verify both belts were changed at 60k, its now on 80k so one would assume the next belt change would be done at 120k??

Si

Was it more that they were changed at 7 years - on elapsed time rather than miles? I cannot remember offhand if it is 7 or 10 years for TDv6 engines. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Oh ok that makes sense, thank you for the info. So on an '05 it would be 2012 and then 2019?

It's a brave (and wealthy) man who waits 7 years for a belt change. Broken belt = broken Bank account Big Cry In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

Should add, it's a tad cheaper to replace the Belts on a 2.7 than it is on a 3.0. Thumbs Up In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures

Thanks for the info, of course I realise these schedules are 'suggested' but as with most things people have them done earlier so will bear that in mind. I guessing both belts are going to be circa £700 for change at an Indy?

I had mine done at Stafford Land Rover for £669, cheaper than any Indy I found.
