turbo vanes stuck

i have what appears to be a situation with my turbo vanes stuck after the car (v6 diesel 2005) stood around for some time.

My questions are : has anybody injected something like Forte diesel cleaner straight into the air intake (there is a sensor right in the centre top of the intake which makes an easy entry point?

is there any way of a more thorough clean without removal?

I'm a competent engineer but, for obvious reasons, trying not to have to remove the turbo!

Is there any way of accessing the actuator to check movement (i can't see any!)

Your valued technical replies are appreciated
Cheers John

What about using Seafoam Deep Creep?
I wonder if anyone has used it to good effect.

serious lack of acceleration, my code reader won't access the RRS, so ran along to my local garage who accessed a turbo fault code (didn't write down which one ) .I'm very conversent with the old style of turbo ,but these moving vane type are new to me! Garage man said very common failure ,although research suggests they are not worn but stuck, so , i'm trying to find a way of unsticking them !

Did it go go back to normal after the codes where cleared ? Or is it a hard fault (won't clear ). If turbo some people have had some success lubbing and working the actuator rod, you can get to it by removing the heat shields in the wheel arch n/s. If that doesn't work then it will prob need a new turbo.. 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current

I've removed the heatshields under the wing, the actuator appears to be engine side of the turbo and not visable.
It didn't go back to normal when the codes were cleared

You need to make a hook out of a coat hanger or welding wire and hook it over the rod then work it back and forth. It should move freely, spray with penitrating oil.. 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current

long time in coming back, but with the bit of wire and a lot of lubrication the rod freed off and i now get turbo boost and no fault code. It does have however a huge flat spot when accelerating up hill .Flat to the floor fine ! is this normal for the v6 ?
