2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Buckingham Blue

Gearbox not changing up

Had issue where gearbox was not changing UP gears when in drive, it would change manual and then when I got up to 3,4,5 or 6 and put it into drive it will allow me to kick down.

No other issues with gear box super smooth and no noise, car has only done 60K.

I parked up and left and it seems to have reset its self for the time being up has anyone going any ideas what it could be?

Yes it has a matching set of pirelli scorpions all with correct pressure one of my first thoughts.

There was at least one case where an owner complained about gearbox not changing up and it turned out to be an incorrectly fitted stop/tail bulb. That may sound weird but the brakelight circuit is on the CAN and so can interfere with it if there is a fault.

The brake pedal switch can cause odd faults too. It is a simple and inexpensive DIY job. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Spot on with the brake light bulbs it was that, cannot believe that was the problem.
