Is the £698 including the subscription?
What is it per year after the 2 year point? incase you have it longer....

I'm looking for tracker advice too.... having just bought my car..

What are the different categories? Usually alarms have to be Cat 1 so why is the tracker a Cat 5?

Once your original subscription has run out (you can select 1/2/3/5 years at time of purchase) you just renew at whatever the current rate is for subscription then and purchase again for how many years you want. If you know you are keeping car, there is good discounts for purchasing more years.

The price shown is without subscription as you then select number of years you want, you then get your total price. John

Hi,The cat 5 is the best on the market at the minute,the one I chose also has uhf aswell as gps & GSM so it can be tracked in a container or underground car park.

If its the LR Trackstar then its cheaper off these guys but its not as good as the cat5.

I believe the LR Trackstar is a Cat 6 unit not Cat 5, you may realise this but didn't want you getting wrong possible unit.
Generally purchasing through LR is nearly double the prices from dealers stated.
If you can get it fitted and operational and are happy at that price go for it, but they are generally available at around £299 + Contract cost for tracking, dependant on number of years you wish to purchase.
I would recommend the services of company in link above, as have used them and their service is excellent. John

Can you tell me the differences between the Cat's... I thought Cat 1 would be best. So if its a Cat 5 is it not better than Cat 6 and so on?

I'm all for saving money... I just want to get the right item fitted.

Each category is different. 5 and 6 are the closest, with 5 being more severe including driver ID tags and the like.
