Yes, in every other respect, they work fine.

from memory, mirror heaters only work when temperature drops below 5c. |

That would make sense, although it doesn't help when the dewpoint is well above that. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

I guess the issue would be that not all models have the humidity sensor, and even then its inside the car so may not provide a correct dew point, but now that LR got our idea it might be on MY18 as an 1K option . |

Correct I believe. A good thing I think, otherwise it would be on a lot of times first thing, a further drain on the battery. John RRS MY12 SDV6 HSE. They operate at any temperature when the rear heated screen is on. |

Found the info, so turning wipers on can get it to heat even at fairly higher temp.
