United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
Crank sensor recall

I had my recall notice a month ago to say the crank position sensor could fail at any time with complete loss of engine and power to steering and brakes so thought I would book it in immediately. Guy Salmon Coventry's so busy I had to wait a month for it to go in tomorrow 9 th August. They just called to say they can't get the part. How bad is that. Sad

Update: went in for 3 other jobs including an alloy repair . \they completed 1 of the 3 jobs and car back with me with alloy still needing repair and still having to wait till god knows when for the Crank sensor.

Not usual for Guy Salmon but they wont be getting many stars this time . Crying or Very sad

England 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Fuji White

Hiya Very Happy ! Just had my 2012 "Red Edition" baby, crankshaft position sensor done at Guy Salmon Sheffield and I can't praise them for their "quality service" enough Thumbs Up I rang them as soon as I received my letter, where they booked it in for the week after and a courtesy vehicle was also arranged. I got a call from them prior to the booked in date just checking if all was still ok at my end, which it was. When I took the car in, I was met at the door, escorted (without handcuffs may I add Laughing ) to the service reception desk and introduced to the service receptionist who confirmed what my car was in for. I had also asked them while they had the car to "have a look" at a creaking noise that had started from the front end (suspect bushes). The senior technician introduced himself to me and asked if we could have a drive round the block to try and replicate this creaking noise. Unfortunately "all was quiet" ! However, the car was left with them for the day. After a couple of hours I received a call from service reception saying they had found / confirmed the front suspension bushes were worn and they had them in stock if I wanted them to be fitted at this visit. I explained I had a private warranty with my car and they contacted the warranty company and all was "sorted" Thumbs Up I then received a call later in the day saying my car would be ready for collection in approx' an hours time (as planned) as it was being washed ! I collected the "clean" car ! and everything that had been carried out was explained to me. I'm a firm believer in "credit where credit is due" and after this, my first and only dealing to date, I would recommend this dealership to anyone. Very Happy
