United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Zermatt Silver

I'm halfway through a trip from Sussex to Aberdeenshire. 700 miles so far. No hurry and at around the speed limits with minimal use of brakes I've got an indicated 30mpg and an actual 27mpg. Around town at home on short hops its around 24-25 mpg.
Sometime I'll leave it in "sport" and enjoy it for a tankful and see what difference that makes. Still believe that the best thing to do is look further up the road and stop using the brakes. There's a lot of momentum in a few tonnes of steel rolling down the road. Robin

Hi Pal I use Lucas Additive it about £10.00 per bottle I use it every fill up, and every 5 or 6 fill ups I use DPF cleaner and EGR valve cleaner, you get buy these all on ebay and as result I seem to average 24 - 31 mpg combined.

Your TDV8 doesn't have a DPF...unless it's extremely unusual. Shocked 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Hi bud the previous owner had a custom exhaust as he worked in Europe for a about 12 months hence the DPF, I am in the process of replacing the original exhaust as the chap I bought the car from gave it to me with the car

England

Just done a brim to brim calculation, 23.6 mpg with 24.4 showing on the dash. Mixed driving, mostly urban but hardly any short trips of less than 10 miles
