Cut and paste:

"2017 Range Rover revealed with upgraded tech

Advanced new tech for revised Range Rover model range includes autonomous features and a supercharged V6 engineThe 2017 Range Rover will come with Jaguar Land Rover’s latest semi-autonomous technology and an additional supercharged V6 engine when it goes on sale this autumn.
Priced from £76,350, the refreshed SUV line-up will get new driver assistance systems in three specification levels, adding features such as lane departure warning, parking assistance, autonomous emergency braking and driver fatigue monitoring.
Higher-spec cars gain adaptive cruise control and a traffic sign recognition system that adjusts cruise control speed to the posted limit. 'Low traction launch' is also available to help pull away from a standstill on slippery surfaces by controlling the torque applied by the driver.

Inside, the new Range Rover receives JLR’s InControl Touch Pro infotainment system with a 10.0in touchscreen display.
Buyers can specify an optional Pro Pack to gain remote control of features such as climate settings and the car’s door locks. Controlled via a smartphone app, the system can offer door-to-door navigation and learn a user’s regular routes, and it can alert owners if the alarm is triggered.
A range of finishes and 19 new colours are also available, designed by JLR’s Special Vehicle Operations division.
Also added to the 2017 range is JLR’s supercharged 3.0-litre V6. The 335bhp, 332lb ft unit is shared with the Jaguar F-Type and accelerates the SUV from 0-60mph in 7.1sec. It slots between the Range Rover’s existing diesel V6 and V8.

A new SVAutobiography Dynamic model will also be introduced as a sharper alternative to the Range Rover’s incumbent rangetopper, the SVAutobiography.
It uses the same 542bhp supercharged V8 as that car, giving it a 0-60mph time of 5.1sec, but gains more driver-focused chassis settings and an 8mm lower ride height. It also gets a few cosmetic tweaks, including Graphite Atlas-finished side vents and grille, while inside it gets diamond quilted leather seats.
The range-topping model starts at £132,800. It’ll go head-to-head with the 562bhp Porsche Cayenne Turbo S." MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

The press release mentions 19 new colors will be available! I hope some of these will trickle down to non-SVR RRS models.

Netherlands 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Lux Buckingham Blue

The current model does not need a face lift, but a but lift.
it looks terrible and small from the back and it has no pad like the L320 and the current Range and LR 4.
big mistake in my view. to much female

Wales 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Lux Sumatra Black

Doesn't seem any reason to change to the 2017 model. The infotainment centre has had nothing but problems on the Jaguar, and LR In Control Apps are some of the worst I've seen. If they got it all working and checked before launch, that would be an improvement. Not a new model or even a facelift for normal SDV6 users.
No mention of new decent seats in the rear, more so if a 7 seat version. The L320 seats were the last decent ones fitted! John

In the US the SCV6 is slightly faster than the TDV6 0-60 (think it's 6.9 versus 7.1 sec) although I imagine with the torque the TDV6 gets off the line quicker. 2016 SCV8 Dynamic - Firenze Red/Pimento

Don't think you get the 306BHP, 500lb ft version of the V6 diesel that we do.

Although I recently drove a 275BHP version, and frankly I didn't think it was any slower. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

Good point. I think ours is turbocharged and not supercharged. It has less than 300 hp.

Reviewers here prefer the TdV6 to the petrol, so if your V6 diesel is better than ours I'd imagine that would be better than the SCV6. 2016 SCV8 Dynamic - Firenze Red/Pimento

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

The V6 S/C will be being launched to answer the immenent hike in taxes on new diesel cars in the UK as a way of reducing emissions in towns. I would imagine that the V6 S/C will be also the answer to the DPF issues for those who rarely venture away from the school/ supermarket run in their RRS's. I must admit that I would be interested in a V6 S/C having driven the F Type Jag AWD with it. OK so the Jag is a lighter car and sleeker but even if you drive like a granny (which is very hard in the FType!) you are unlikely to see better than 20mpg in town and 25mpg on a long run so I dread to think what the heavier less aerodynamic RRS or FFRR will get with the same motor. It will be interesting to hear the howls of protest from Evoque owners too as they have long wanted a V6 petrol or diesel in that car but it physically will not fit in the engine bay. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

And the 6 introduced as a way to smooth the market acceptance of the 4 cylinder version in the near future?

United States 2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged HSE Santorini Black

Disappointing to say the least. I was hoping they would do something new with the front and rear bumpers. Mostly the rear since it's the worst part of an otherwise great design. And some new wheel options. Maybe that's next year's model. Was ready to put my order in to replace my 2010. Not sure now. 2018 Range Rover Sport SVR – Bosphorus Grey
