Many have found switching to a 45 instead of 40 profile tyres, gives a more comfortable ride, as well as slightly filling the gap to the bodywork more. John

Good to know about the Avon ZX7's, they are my next boots of choice now I've put the 19's back on. Don't like the fidgety ride of the 20's and to add insult to injury, managed to curb one them last week, so resale value down a couple of quid!

Well I've been running 275/45 x20 wheels/tyres for the last 5 years on two different Sports and have not had any drivetrain or suspension issues, for the last 12/15 months I have actually been running 275/45 x 21" SVR wheels/tyres and have had absolutely no problems with them either.

Don't know if it's made any difference to fuel consumption or not as it's a 5.0L S/C and only averages 14/15 mpg anyway. Cheers Col |

LOL, with that kind of consumption, you may as well go up to monster truck sized wheels, the sort that requires to carry a step ladder in order to get in and out! |

I run 255/55/19s on winters and the ride is great, probably due to the extra sidewall 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black
