can anyone answer this ......

Hi all.

There must be someone out there who has got a diagram of how to install the trigger wheel to a 2.7 tdv6.

Yes I know I need the tool but I want to see if mine is totally In the wrong place so it gives me a little hope before taking gearbox out.

I set the hole on the trigger wheel in perfect centre of the crank signal sensor....... anyone ☺

And at what position did you align the trigger wheel in the crankshaft?

The tool only fits one way onto the crank, and attaches to the tool in only 1 way to ensure perfect alignment

I do believe you have the trigger wheel approx 180 degrees out

Mike do u have the tool ? If so am I 180 degrees out being the perfect degrees ? If yes then I would take the gamble on doing it again but without the tool. Paying 200 odd quid for a piece of metal seems a little steep.

I got a 2 post spare ramp that this junk has been sat on for the last 6 months so it's not like it's in my way and taking a gamble with body off I'd rather save the 200 quid. I can get the body off in no time as I only parcially put it down.

3k in so every penny counts.

Thanks

Jon

I don't have the tool. From what I have seen, it sounds as though your trigger wheel is APPROX 180 degrees out.

If you are already £3k in, what is another £200? Confused
You could always sell the tool on again, as a lot of people seem to have exactly the same issue Wink
