2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Orkney Grey

Landrover Recall

Typically just as I head on back to work overseas, my better half informs me via Whatsapp that a letter from Landrover arrived, containing something about a crankshaft recall? Has anybody else had this and can actually confirm it is about the crankshalf? Thanks Best Regards

Is this for all RRS models do you know? I have RRS MY12 SDV6 HSE Dynamic, but have heard nothing at all from LR or my LR Dealer branch. Build date of my car is March 2012. Should I await a letter or contact my dealer? Thanks. John

Non start, or cutting out when driving, leading to loss of power steering etc

As it's a safety recall issued by JLR, it is to be carried out by an LR main dealer, and to be done FOC

2012 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HST Santorini Black

My crankshaft sensor went a year ago and had to be replaced. Car used to cut out. Got the letter a couple of weeks ago and it's a software update that will take approx 2 hours.

2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Fuji White

Mine just been done yesterday, it went for a 4 year service and they did that at the same time. I have not had a letter about it yet.

Its a long job, dealers say land rover give them 5 hours for it but its a bit of a pig and usually takes approx 7 hours.

Mine went in Wednesday and got it back yesterday, i am also now £550 lighter for the service too!
