I haven't received a letter yet, although my car VIN number is in the range. I phoned up Hatfields LR Pickering, they booked it in for the whole day, (3 days later) said it takes up to four hours, was originally six hours, but getting use to doing them now.
Another three cars had also booked in, they limit it to four a day, I was given a free 2016 Discovery Sport HSE loan car for the day, different car to last time, noticed it has a nine speed g/box, all normal fittings and HSE extras. Picked up my car at 17.00 all completed, car washed, hoovered, polished, tyre walls re blacked, all for no charge except £10 for the diesel used (did 128 miles so wasn't going to complain.) An excellent service all round I found. When the letter arrives they do request receipt of it. Not sure why. Time taken for actual job, 3 hours + found drivers side windscreen washer not working properly so changed it FOC + cleaning car. That's what I call service.  John

Have a look at the Recall Action sheet #P080 that Bobby posted on the first page of this thread.

This states that the recall concerns TDV6 3.0L Diesel Engines in RRS's of Model Year 2012 to 2013 and VIN Numbers 752903 to 787400

THAT IS ONE WAY of finding out if your car requires this recall.

The other method is to log on to Topix.

This hasn't been a quick job for some garages, taking up to 6-8 hours. But times come down the more they do, Hatfields have it down to 2-3 hours each now.
