It shouldn't let a drop of water into the cabin and it should seal around the aperture well enough that nothing enters the channel too. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I haven't had a car with an opening sunroof in quite a long time.............. Either a panoramic roof that doesn't open or just a full plain steel roof. My Defender has a pop up glass panel that is now 20 years old and it seals well but in the cold weather it is a pain as it get condensation on the inside and 1st thing in the morning when I go round a corner or along a bumpy road I get an icy shower or water droplets down the back of my neck! I rarely open that in hot weather either as it causes terrible turbulence inside the cabin at speed 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

You don't say how you are recalibrating the Sunroof, but just in case you are not sure this is how to do it.
