Need help!!

Hi all, new to all this... Looking for some answers to my RRS tdv8 having a few problems with the warning lights on the dash.
Park brake fault
Stability control not available
Forward alert not available
Emergency brake assist not available
Gearbox fault

All came up at once so am thinking it maybe a sensor or something as the car still drives fine, any info would be great thanks...

Also what's the best way to lower my car a little (around access hight) so it will stay there while driving or is it beat to leave a alone....
Cheers

Hi Benji

That looks like quite a few faults, have you got any water on your ecm ?

Is there oil leaking near the rear of your car ?

Cheers Benji

They all came at the same time so was thinking it was some sort of sensor or something... And from what I can see there's no oil and its was a dry when the fault came up. Where on the car would I find that part?
Thanks

It could be a sensor.

I had a similar experience a couple of days after washing my car with a jet wash. Water got through the side air inlet and dripped on to the ecm which usually has a cover over the top.

Any way the ecm is behind the battery. And the anti roll bar is behind the rear bumper http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic19778.html

I'll have a look later don't think it's the anti roll bar (hope not :/ as it looks expensive) as I've not seen any oil anywhere. I'll keep you posted tho
Thanks

Any info on lowering it??

Permanent lowering can be done BUT it isn't recommended as it makes the ride rock hard, can wear out steering and transmission components more rapidly and can cause accelerated tyre wear. It's an off-road vehicle so what's the point anyway? BTW if you can get it above 100mph for more than 5 secs it will lower automatically anyway for stability purposes....... 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Checked all the above and can't see anything wrong. As if by magic all faults have gone off the dash, had it plugged and checked no codes found, so not sure what to do next.

If all the codes have gone could be down to a comes glitch. Since nothing stopped to car would continue to drive as normal and see if it happens again.
As far as lowering as Tim says above, what's the point ! If you want something that 4x4 and low, go buy an Audi..... 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current

Silly question but have you got a rear bulb out, either side light or brake light as these can throw up all sort of errors !! MY16 AUTOBIOGRAPHY Indus silver with some toys

sounds like battery playing up

check battery connections under bonnet

check battery voltage or get it charged in a c tek charger

also be wary it could be alternator as that seems a common failure around the later years

hopefully nothing major

also chiming in on the hardcore land rover vibe.. If you want a low car go buy a porsche cayenne with air suspension. .. my friends turbo stays low all the time ... ps I wish my sc would stay in access mode too !

No, no bulbs out or anything. Strange.... Everything's been alright since just have to wait and see. Dose anybody know if it will take the white LED number plate lights as I've been told they might not take um and could start chucking warning lights up on the dash (any truth in it) cars a 10 plate 3.6 tdv8

If any LED bulbs aren't the official ones, where used, you have to ensure the LED has a resistor on it, without this it causes all sorts of error lights and codes, as you have said. Unfortunately that is true.
I'm afraid I don't know the value of the resistor required, but I'm sure makers/suppliers should know. John

Easy just go on Amazon tap in 501 led canbus error free, had them in mine for 3 years no problem, replaced the front side lights with the same.. Also replaced with the same in my wife's my10 plate Freelander 2 and my parents my09 Freelander 2..
I also have led tail/brake light bulbs they've been in the car 3 years and before that they where fitted in my D3 again for about 3 years. As with the sport neither car has had any problems.. 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current

I have them in mine and as said here make sure you get error free and read the advert to make sure they are suitable

Rear led bulbs in the tails make the indicators flash fast on the dash but not the actual outside
