I took the email as an indication they had had too many people calling landrover assist when it wouldn't start after running down to zero, some of the mail was badly worded, but it certainly made it clear not to let it run out!! |

This has been causing some confusion on discosportforum with some owners being charged for top ups between services

So what happened to the "Ad Blue tankage is sufficient to last between services" claim? Looks like all this high tech stuff is beyond Land Rover's technical guys, you never hear of AdBlue being a problem for VW/Audi/BMW/Ford/Merc et al, but consumption and refills are a mess with Land Rover. DPF's had the same lack of development for LR when they were introduced................ 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

LR have amended the figures for adblue consumption and looks to be about double the original claimed figure

I knew the AdBlue top ups were free with a service plan. So does my dealer.

It's solution of urea (think cat's p**s) that is converted to ammonia gas in the hot exhaust that then reduces NOx to nitrogen gas. |
