Just had an email from JLR confirming that top-up on the Adblue between services is included in the service plan.

"If you have a Land Rover service plan, complimentary AdBlue® top-ups at an Approved Service Centre are included between service intervals."

Not sure if this is covered elsewhere - did a quick search and didn't spot but certainly thought it was worth mentioning as I wasn't aware that this was actually included and free  Colin

I took the email as an indication they had had too many people calling landrover assist when it wouldn't start after running down to zero, some of the mail was badly worded, but it certainly made it clear not to let it run out!!

This has been causing some confusion on discosportforum with some owners being charged for top ups between services

LR appear to be sending out confirmation to owners and it is on their website too

So what happened to the "Ad Blue tankage is sufficient to last between services" claim? Looks like all this high tech stuff is beyond Land Rover's technical guys, you never hear of AdBlue being a problem for VW/Audi/BMW/Ford/Merc et al, but consumption and refills are a mess with Land Rover. DPF's had the same lack of development for LR when they were introduced................ 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

LR have amended the figures for adblue consumption and looks to be about double the original claimed figure

I knew the AdBlue top ups were free with a service plan. So does my dealer.

I also now know that my car needs a top up before 10k miles. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

additive to keep emissions down in newer cars like Mercedes blue efficiency , another thing to top up

If the AdBlu tank isn't big enough I wonder if 2017MY cars will get a bigger AdBlu tank and a smaller again fuel tank? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

My 2016 already reduced from 105 litre in 2015 to 89 now.
