It is a myth. The car "wakes" every 2 hours to check it is level (and adjust if req) regardless of its ride height |

With regards to swapping out the battery, the only info I can find is the 2 pages in the manual, can't find anything online, just says to turn key to position II, apply park brake, remove key and wait at least two minutes, then remove negative, then positive, the install new battery, attached positive, then negative, done.

Yes -- cover the nearside wing with something like a big towel to protect the paintwork. The battery is very heavy and awkward to lift out so if you have a bad back or any problems with arms or shoulders get someone else to do it! 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Cheers, looks awkward, but thankfully not as awkward as on a Vogue, I saw a video where they had to put the bonnet at 90 degrees to get the thing out! |

Be careful when you put the battery in - the engine ECU and TCM are just behind the battery box! 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Thanks for the heads up, I think I'm going to save it for tomorrow when I'm feeling less worse for wear... |
