a standard fob being one with a key i assume...

the keyless one being a fob that stays in your pocket and you press a button to start..

There are 2 keyless types - 1 with button ignition plus you touch handles to open and lock the 2nd you just have ignition button - they both have different vulnerabilities

The Keyless version with handle switches is constantly active and low range can be boosted

The normal keyless start can be jammed or signal captured from greater distance when buttons pressed Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

My order arrived today and both keys now safely in pouches which appear to be working fine. They have 2 pockets - 1 blocks signal and 1 doesn't so I can use unprotected pocket in car to keep smart key visible and protected pocket when I have locked it to be safe Mr. Green

They're slightly bigger than necessary but for £3.33 each I can live with it - might have to start wearing cargo pants for phone, wallet and key pouch though Laughing
