Up here in the west side of Scotland's Central Belt we have had 2 weeks of cracking weather. I was off-roading in my Defender yesterday and got very sunburned but today is hotter. At 9am this morning it was 21c in my back garden even with a gentle breeze and I have just started up the RRS which has spent the morning in the shade and the dash outside temperature gauge is into the red sector! The BBC weather website predicts 24c for this afternoon here.
Off-roading in the hills around Loch Tay yesterday was more like driving in the outback with swirling clouds of dust and scorching sunshine.............. We had a German couple over here in their Discovery 2 on holiday come off-roading with us and they cannot believe that this is our summer weather............... Another fortnight and the schools break up for the summer and the heavens open for 2 weeks too!

Been on the beach today here in North Wales, it's still unbearably hot, between 11.00 to 16:30 the temperature was 28C, we don't normally get those temperatures here till Jul/Aug. The beach was very busy and great to see so many in the sea. Was cooler yesterday 25C, but more of the same tomorrow. National weather has been a joke showing warm, windy and rain, what jokers they are, they do nothing for the tourist industry and when they are so wrong should be sued. l John
