Lumpy at tick over

My TD V8 08 has a very uneven feel to it when in D or P when stationary, the car can even feel like it's rocking side to side! even when the engine is up to temp it still does it, is under warranty so should I take it to dealer?? 08, TD V8 HSE, Stornaway Grey, Ivory Leather

if it feels like a shudder/wind blowing past then its the air suspension, almost certainly a dicky sensor or a leak ============

After doing a search on here for 'juddering' and 'lumpy' this is as close to what I can find, so a ressurected thread at least...

My RRS (TDV8 '07) has developed a juddering at low speed, immeadiately after engaging Drive or Reverese. It does not do it all the time (but becoming more regular) and it stops when I put the car in Park so I dont think its an engine issue, more a driveline or electronics/sensor issue.

The lumpyness dissapears as soon as I move away.

Anyone have any ideas on what could be causing it? Its not too bad, but I'm a bit mechanically sympathetic, and its obviosuly not right.

I have Warranty, but dont want to walk into the dealer with no idea...so any advice would be apprecited.

I have a 2010 rr sport done 157000, full genuine Land Rover servicing by myself as I work for main dealer.

I have tried all but a few items now to resolve the slight judder/ misfire sensation when the car is only cold on start up.

Here is my shopping list already done and tested out so far people: ps all genuine parts

2 new mass air flow meters
2 map sensors
2 top turbo hoses
2 turbo Actuator checks all ok
2 turbo to inter cooler side bore scope camera checks for oil all ok
2 turbo out out shafts checked for play when exhaust was off all ok
2 throttle bodies
2 egr valve head checks all ok
2 rocker cover checks all ok
1 new crank case breather replaced
1 oil filter iand oil of castrol magnatec 5w 30 A5
All fluids drained gear box sump pan and replaced with lr parts and lr oils

Well that's about it, apart from if I put my ear to the drivers wheel arch it makes more of a bop bop bop noise than the
Passenger side.

No dtc's logged in sdd just a chatter noise with the misfire also.

Has anyone repced the timing chains yet cause that's my next job and its BIG!

Ross, have you got a weak hydraulic tappet weeping off, then taking a few seconds to build up pressure on start up ? Also has hemp above has said injector, not all faults show up electronically could be mechanical spray pattern etc. Have you checked compressions ? 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Bali Blue

Mine used to have a lumpy tickover on occasion, then it eventually developed into a restricted performance fault. After a restart it would run but you could tell it wasn't right. Totally gave up after it had been standing for a couple of days,, clouds of blue / white smoke from left exhaust, turned out to be a egr valve.
After it had been repaired the same thing happened again but was fine after a restart, Took it back to the garage and they found a leak on the exhaust manifold,, apparently they had disturbed something while doing the egr valve,, all been good since.

Get the codes read it may pinpoint the problem 2010 RRS, TDV8
bali Blue / colour coded
side steps / flappy paddles
black perforated leather
22" overfinch
heated everything, TV,fridge ...... now with gold calipers and mud flaps !( black mud flaps that is) !!

Surely I would see smoke with warped ex manifold or studs loose?? The worst is outside work on such a very slight incline makes it worse from cold start up every time I leave to come home. Data logger on injectors from cold I think next.
