You can leave the holes open, but they shouldn't be open to the elements, and should have the covers fitted, I posted correct ones earlier, plus the ones Col put up, which appear to be the best value. They do after time (2 years) seem to fall out. John

Dont buy the ones listed above, they are for a Freelander 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater ))) |

YES they are for a Freelander and they are exactly the same item just in different length's and will fit a Sport Perfectly as I have used them myself twice and a lot cheaper than buying the ones listed for a Sport.
