I Think you will find all the 4.4s are Naturally Aspirated not Supercharged so badge is just for show.

You could have one of the 5 or 6 4.4S/C's that were used for development but LR found that the engine longevity was poor and so liners were put in to sleeve the cylinders down make give the 4.2 capacity. All the developement cars were supposed to have gone to the crusher at the factory but I know of one Giverny Green 4.4 S/C that "escaped". The 4.4 never went into production, same as the Aston Martin V12 powered FFRR never made it to production. You will have a great deal of problem getting any dealer support for it if it is. Can you not check with DVLA or on your V5 which will also give the engine capacity and VIN, the vin can them be checked with the factory. I suspect that it is an NA V8 and somebody has stuck a badge on the back.............. My 2.7V6 SE spent a lot of it's life with the then SVO Autobiography badge on it because it was a very rare colour and folks all thought had been through the then special Autobiography section sat the factory and had had the Ł10,000 optional Autobiography paint job, but it was a standard RRS colour! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Interesting, on the V5C it's just referred to as a 4.4 V8 and in all the LR service documents as a 4.4 HS* and nothing else, sounds unlikely that it's 1 of 6 flukes, it's got the 20" SC alloys, which must have been spec'd on at the time, as the car is apparently 100pc factory fitted and only had 2 owners, everything else is stock and it's been under warranty & extended warranty it's entire life, original owner must have got a SC badge to go with the SC wheels!! |

Sounds like yours is a 4.4 HSE with a different badge! I have the full 2005 sales literature scanned with the full spec and which wheels you have (they should be the "normal" 10 spoke 20" ones not the "stormer" style). If you PM or email your email address I will send you the original brochure and price lists with the spec and optional gear. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Just PM'd they are the SC style alloys with the 10 spokes I think, the Stormer style ones seem to have straight spokes and mine have a curve to them... |

Haha, I popped the hood about an hour ago, f*** if I know what I'm looking at, and everything is covered, I'm happy just ignorantly assuming it's a 4.4 NA until I get it serviced end of the month, will report back if anything interesting!! |

1. Open the bonnet. 2. Check for supercharger on top of the engine. 3. Find no supercharger. 4. Close the bonnet. 5. Remove the "supercharged" badge.
Did you see "supercharged" written on the plastic covering? Regards etc., Wojtek --- WAS: 2006 RRS Supercharged IS: 2010 RRS TDV8 HSE |

Is it only the S/C model that had a black oval Land Rover Badge too or does the 4.4 have it too? '06 RRS Supercharged Cairns Blue |

Didn't they just take the jaguar 4.2 SC engine and insert it ? Fit a suitable sump and reduce the power ? |
