Hi Muddywheels,,without reading all previous posts do you rate the TW better than the BV as I'm looking at getting front & rear cams for the sport.

Hi Andy

The software is better on BV but cameras are better on TW. BV was dearer then TW when I looked.

I've had 3 BV - 1 replaced due to GPS fault and 1 is very temperamental now I gave my daughter. I'm hoping the TW is more reliable

I couldn't get GPS lock with BV on DS but have with TW

If you are out Driffield/Bainton area you're welcome to call and I can show you BV in my sons mini and TW in my DS Thumbs Up

I will try and post some video to compare later if I remember Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

New Zealand 2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Autobiography Santorini Black

Just quickly fitted Thinkware F770 Dashcam going to run alongside Blackvue F750 for now to get comparison, just need to see if any of the Thinkware features actually work in the UK. i.e. Safety Cameras, Lane Departure Warning System etc. GPS locks in O.K.

Due to the size of the rear view mirror housing and black hatched bit on screen or what ever you call it positioning of Thinkware may be bit of a compromise. Fits behind mirror o.k. though.

Try and add better pictures later.

Hi Alan,

When I hard wired the Blackvue in I actually fitted Two Ignition and Aux feeds at the same time so had spare ones if I ever needed them, so only took a few minutes to quickly connect Thinkware as well.

I piggy backed off fuses 48 Trailer Connection (Perm Live) and 52 Cigar Lighter (Ignition Feed)

Cheers

Hi Col,

Nice tips about the fuse positions, thanks. Just about to re-install my Blackvue DR650GW-2CH in the RRS now that Pittasoft have finally released a firmware update with a bit rate increase! It's been sat in its box since last November ;-(
Have ordered one of those piggy back 'add a fuse' things to save cutting and soldering in the back of the fuse box too, so will crack on when it arrives...

cheers
