To be fair they normally pay their way but the only way I could get more pocket money of swmbo for a better dashcam was by claiming the kids needed my old model

Have you tried re-formatting the card? This often helps when put it into a new item, you do really only want to buy the best quality and fastest cards that you can afford, the results are really worth it. (Only buy from reputable dealers, some of the junk memory cards being sold on eBay, aren't genuine, and nothing like the card specs should be).  John

Has anyone tried filming through the rear window on tailgate when it has the tint to it, fitted by LR from new?
Which camera is best for this, if anyone has played around. (When shooting through rear window, not physically played around).  John

There is a mix of voodoo and technology when it comes to SD cards and dash cams! Faster is not necessarily better, the card needs to be able to match the write speed of the camera. Best bang for buck card for the Blackview 650 I found was the Lexar UHS-I 300x. Works flawlessly in the BV and Mini 0806 too. 64Gb flavour for about £15
