I have looked at the bulbs and they look fine , they are 2 elements inside which look ok , and like j said the side light part is working , I didn't want to drive to halfords and buy new bulbs when there is probably nothing wrong with the ones that are in , both lights going off at the same time would suggest a fuse maybe ?? |

I wouldn't buy bulbs from halfords anyway.

The high level light is wired on the same circuit as the others, so not a fuse or switch issue. Any other issue would have to affect either the tail filaments due to the common ground or the high level light and fuse if a dead short, and would be very unlikely to affect both sides at the same time, so we are back to the bulbs...
