As above, drive your own. For me, a few long journeys a year is the only reason that justifies keeping a car like this. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

I can see were you are coming from hiring a nice jag soft top for a week, but the chances are the roof will be up all the time and the wipers going like a bat out of hell

When you sell your RRS2 the additional 3500 miles won't make a jot of difference to the price you get after a few years, you certainly won't get £1300 more if it had 3500 miles less but if you want to have a long test drive in a car you are considering buying in the future this would be a good oportunity but you are paying for the privilege. If it were me I'd drive my own vehicle that's what its for 2019 BMW X3 2.0i M Sport in metalic black- Brilliant

If I wouldn't do the trip to Cornwall any other way than driving it because even on today's crowded roads I still love driving long distances through our green and pleasant land and if motorway hauls get too boring there is always the longer and slower route to go when I'm not in a great hurry to get anywhere. So it looks like the consensus is to use my own car then, not a problem as my last year has seen my usual annual miles drop from around 10k to 7500 so I have some in hand for the next 12 months! I take the point about the additional miles not having much bearing on the value of the car when I come to sell it. If necessary I can park it up and use my Defender for a few months! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
