hi all.ive just joined.i have a 2010 rrs from new with 30k it went into restricted performance last friday.couldnt find much info on the net but through a friend of a friend i found a member of the full fat club who has helped with the diagnostic codes i got from an auto electrician he thinks it the map sensor ordered from main dealer £70 delivered tomorrow so ill let you all know how it goes

Hi all. Just wanted to introduce myself-and am hoping that this post does not appear as a duplicate of one I started just now which seems to have vanished!
I recently bought a 2008 RRS TDV8. Not because I need all the off road gizmos (unless I visit my daughter in Scotland) but because I liked it, and also because I didn't want to be one of the crowd in their anonymous tin boxes which, whilst I am sure are perfectly adequate, are as boring as hell! My previous card was a 4.2 V8 S-Type Jag (which I loved) but it just became too expensive with repair bills and spent more time in the garage than on the road! The RRS goes nearly (but not quite) as fast and certainly goes well enough for me, and it is so comfortable! Hopefully I have not gone from the frying pan to the fire. The RRS is also more economical and so I am doing my bit for the planet aren't i?
So that's me. Hopefully I will only need this forum for info on improving my RRS even more but its good to know that, if a problem develops, I have you guys and gals to fall back on.
