The existing one (fitted by LR) isn't made of plastic or cheap tin, it's reasonably substantial. I reckon it's good for a lot of basic lanes etc.

I have a Mantec sump guard on mine, very well made too and you also keep the standard Land Rover sump plate in place underneath it for added protection |

Except the RRS is a bit shorter in the middle, so the chassis are different ![]() And the tubes linked to are not rock sliders, they are for styling purposes only. And won't fit an RRS due to the above |

I have the LR Stainless steel front and rear accessory bash plates on my L494 HSE Dynamic. They are substantial BUT it appears that you have to remove them to get at the recovery eye mounting point which isn't really a great feature.................when you have got stuck in knee deep mud and have to remove the bash plate completely to screw in the recovery eye. But they do look nice when you drive around town in your rufty tufty off road vehicle |

Had a gen L/R guard on my D3 did the job and looked great, but was a pain when it came to oil and filter change as it uses some of the same mounting points as the engine guard. 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current
