United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

If you see the way the various systems are linked - especially anything related to Terrain Response - it's less surprising that you get cascade failures. It's why things like blown brake bulbs throw up HDC errors, for example. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

My wife had a Series 1 Audi TT. It never really felt like it was 4WD and reading about similar issues with faults, there was a piece which said that if there was a fault with the handbrake light, it would affect the 4WD.

We had no visible faults, but got it checked and there was indeed an error in this area. The error was cleared and the transformation was night and day! The car was a different thing all together!

Ha good luck with that (see my post in general section)

So, I have had the Amber Suspension Warning Light, which was intermittent on when it came on, i.e - 5 minutes into drive, 15 minutes, 40 minutes!! Suspension was slow to raise, sometimes didn't at all, sometimes raised and never went down - it basically did what it wanted to do!!

My 4x4 Specialist has diagnosed that a new compressor is required and my warranty company are covering the cost.

The compressors apparently have had lots of issues and are now obsolete, so a new type of compressor is being put on mine, to the tune of circa £500 + labour. Fingers crossed that should do the job.

Had same intermittent fault for a while now and my compressor finally gave up yesterday and the car was dropped into access mode and wouldn't raise up, having new compressor on it tomorrow (under warranty Very Happy ) by a local garage, parts ordered from main dealer (Matford Landrover) and got it at £429 inc vat & shipping for the new type compressor.

Well done Sparky. Not sure if the TdV6 is different and thus cheaper than the TDV8 ones, but still a hefty price and glad the warranty is covering it! Let us know how it goes - my ride seems a lot firmer recently so hoping the new compressor sorts that also

RRS went into get the Compressor replaced under warranty and the yellow warning light has now gone. An upgraded compressor and modification to the valves was done and all works well now.

Thanks AA Warranty for that!

Hello All,

I had the same fault and fortunately I have the car (2008 RRS 2.7) under an extended warranty. The dealer told me it was the battery. I told them its new ( 2 months old ) and don't be so silly.

They then said it was the alternator - changed under warranty - fault came back in 10 mins after fitting - They then changed the air suspension pump which cured the problem.

Hope this helps..... Thumbs Up
