I think my Bentley suggestion is definitely relevant, the Arse recently fell out of used Bentley continentals an they all took a pretty big drop in price.

The same thing is about to happen to the RRS1 an think anyone would be foolish to disagree. Over the next 6 months all RRS1's are going to have a big price hit then bottom out, infact the same way the X5 did. The X5 had a big hit 3 years ago and now they've settled.

Is it me you're calling Carlos? Is this some internet thing? I think you'll find my advice is priceless.

Ok I get it, Carlos or car loss because of the loss of money on cars, very clever.

Hi,

I have had my RRS on Auto trader for 4 days now with over 200 views. No calls. I have sold many cars including Land Rovers before with no problems.
I did my research before placing my ad, price, spec, history etc.
I have also been to a local trader who told me it is well priced.
I don't qualify to advertise on here but cant understand why no offers.
If anyone has any ideas please PM me or come back to me on this thread.

Cheers

Here's my experience -

Autotrader is a waste of time I've had some success with eBay though

I've sold LRs privately up to 2010 but since then it's been impossible but that could be due to higher value of my vehicles. This hasn't stopped dealer selling them on for a profit though

Buyers now prefer new or LR approved used and finance

Scammers appear to have scared private buyers away

Private buyers want a bargain and expect you to give it away - they're not interested in a fair price

Glwts but it's tough out there Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Still hoping for a S2 one day!

I don't know how it is for you guys across the pond but in NA Land Rovers have a terrible reputation and as such depreciate quickly. When mine rolled out of the factory in 2009 as a 2010 it was worth well over $100,000.00. Fast forward to 2014 when I bought it and we settled at 45k. The car lost over 50% of its value over 5 years, INCREDIBLE.

Add to all this the green revolution we are evolving into and you have yourself a gas guzzling, environmentally poor vehicle that is spewing tons of emissions per year into the lungs of our precious future generation. This is why these cars are hard to sell.

I think he's a wanna be owner without the cash. He's come up with a clever scheme to talk the value of RRS down to his price range... Rolling with laughter 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I think both RRS1 and RRS2 are going to suffer a steep drop in the value of used ones.............
Because a) We generally don't get icey road and heavy snow fall between April and Septmeber so there is usually a quieter market for big SUV's
b0 RRS2 will take a hit becuase the first ones are now 3 years old and there number of people who keep a Land Rover for the warranty period is quite large, they then trade them in against the latest model year or some different but this still causes a glut of used Land Rovers during the summer months.
First mention of a bad winter and peoiple try to get rid of their clapped out 3 series ragtops and Mazda MX's for some more suited to bad weather driving and the market for used SUV's of all marques wakes up again. It ain't rocket science! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW
