There are 3 settings that need to be configured. They are discussed on the thread above and others on the Sport and Discovery forums. From memory they are FBH Call Start, Fuel Burning Heater and Timed Climate. I have sold my MY13 which wasn't much different from MY12 otherwise I would have plugged my IIDTool in and given you the exact values for these settings. I will try anyway: FBH Call Start = Fitted Radio, Fuel Burning Heater = Fitted, Timed Climate = Enabled. Basically you plug the tool in, connect your phone via BT, go to the Car Config menu, select the HVAC ECU/menu and select the appropriate values for these settings and follow the instructions from there. It is very straight forward.

Just make sure your car battery has a very healthy charge level or you connect it to a power source such as a trickle/maintenance charger before starting. It is normal to get faults while updating the CCF. If the update fails just try again. That's my experience with this stuff and I think pretty much covers it all. Perhaps a current owner with an IIDTool can walk you through the process as you do it if you still feel you need it. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

Hi Ned,
I managed to do this using information from this forum, it was surprisingly easy. The IID Tool is really quite intuitive but it is useful to know the terminology that fkarim gave you.

Good luck and please let us know if you have any problems.

If I just wanted to enable the timed climate option do I still need to set all three settings as below?

"For 2010 and up vehicles fitted with a FBH (not the electric heater)
IIDTool Menu->Car Config->HVAC Ventilation->
•FBH Call Start is equal to Fitted radio. This is the one related to the remote.
•Fuel Burning Heater is equal to Fitted parking heat
•Timed Climate is equal to Enable"

or just ensure the FBH is set to fitted and the timed climate is equal to enable

So far I enabled the Timed Climate option and no menu item has appeared on the touch screen -----------------------------------------------

Just thought I would ask as a newbie to RRS.
Do all tdv8 sports come with the fbh fitted or was it an option.
Cheers.

They all come with it (uk spec diesels anyway) but we can't tell from your profile what car you have. On the rrs2, it is an option. Bodsys Brake Bible

Hi Bodsy,
I don't pick mine up until the 5th March.
It's a 08MY on a 57 plate tdv8 so I presume it has it fitted.
When I went to view it, it was lashing down with rain so I only managed a quick look under the bonnet and I can't remember exactly what was under there. Sad

Can't wait until I get it as its been such a long time searching for the right one.
Only done 48k and one retired gentleman owner who has cherished it.

Cheers, Phil.

Yes it will have the FBH fitted, but you can't enable timed climate on that year. You cAn fit a BAS FBHIC to it though. I can supply and fit if interested. Thumbs Up

Sounds like it's had an easy life so far which is always good news! Thumbs Up Bodsys Brake Bible
