remotes are great Thumbs Up

going out last night, pressed the remote while in the kitchen, (got the pots to wash Sad ) car still in the garage

went out 20 min later lifted the door and the warm smell of the FBH greets you, car toasty and warm inside Cool

its worth every penny Thumbs Up

I have a remote for the heater but never used it other than to see what it did - green light on remote, rumbling from car...

But during winter when the battery is cold, how bad does the heater affect the battery? Will it cut out before getting to a low voltage where the RRS wont start (the RRS can sit for days so concern over low battery) ?

It will either fail to start remote heating or turn it off prematurely (i.e. before reaching the full 20/30 mins that it stays on for) if the battery is low. Never lets the battery drain enough to cause problems like failure to start etc. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

Thays good to know, thanks. I'll need to try and remember to use it now with winter fast approaching. 13MY Range Rover Sport Autobiography SDV6 - mine

Having said the above, it is worth getting a smart charger to keep the battery topped up during winter. Even if it is only to ensure that these remote and timed heating features are available whenever you need them.

These cars demand quite a lot from the batteries in general (I am not thinking of just remote heating here) and IMHO the standard batteries aren't powerful enough for the job. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top
