United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

A oil extractor is fine for the TDV6 I believe but not the V8

Getting underneath the car is old hat now to drain the oil, I always use an oil extractor, no mess and easy to dispose of.

Any pictures of where you pump from on the engine?

I'm definitely intrigued by this method Thumbs Up

Thanks, Ian

You get a small tube that fits down the dipstick and then just warm the car up before hand and then suck it out.

Mobil Super 3000 Formula FE 5W-30

Used this in my TDV8 for a few years now - doesn't burn any oil between changes.

There are I'm sure other oils at least as good - just stick to the major brands and make sure of compliance with Ford WSS-M2C913.

The major online retailers like ECP, GSF, Halfords etc regularly run promotions at massive discounts so look out for these and buy at a good price with free delivery.

Oil threads on this site are very dull compared with classic car forums - the last one on a 911 site went on for 18 pages! 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE
