Looking at my car, the camera would be off to the left about 100 mm plus the length of the camera.
With my Blackvue, on the video you can hardly tell its off to one side.
The starange thing is with the Thinkware is the mounting instructions contradict themselves. One shows aligning the camera lens dead centre of the screen, another states it should be 200mm off towards the passanger, thats in the same instructions lol

Finally got round to fitting this and positioned it passenger side of mirror so I can't see it when driving and less visible from outside vehicle. I tried it in middle under mirror but it was obstructing my view due to low position thanks to the LR mirror fixing/electronics Rolling Eyes

However I have a problem - it takes forever to lock onto gps so half my recordings/journeys have no map/speed data Big Cry

Looks like it's faulty or the windscreen is reducing gps signal Banging Head

I've raised issue with Amazon and waiting for reply - anyone else in same boat Confused Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Do you have an IR screen - in which case there are two cut out areas for things needing to be positioned -
If not it coudl just be from a cold start with your location that it does take time to lock on -

I don't think the DS has IR screen - It is parked in a barn normaly so will pull it out and wait for gps confirmation before driving off next time and see if it helps Confused

We've got the car back and the first time the GPS did seem to take a few minutes to lock on, but on a second journey it seems to be fine. Maybe yours will be the same Question

As an aside, the guy we got to fit it said that fitting it into the GL was an absolute pig of a job and he wished he'd quoted more than the £60 he did to fit (hard wire both front and rear) Laughing ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

I sympathize having lost all the skin on my wrist and knuckles fitting the piggyback fuses - designers have no consideration for technicians Big Cry

I'm looking at detachable towbar at moment and can buy Witter parts for £295 and fit myself (£345 with genuine LR wiring) or get towbar express to supply and fit for £447 - the cold weather and lack of heated workshop might decide for me Laughing Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Not yet Ady, but being done next week by the same guy who did the other car today. Could be a pain re the split hatch window, but he seems confident he can do it well. Thumbs Up ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i
