No, it won't drop, but I make a habit of leaving a jack beneath it (but not supporting it). For even more room there's also extended mode - lower it onto a carefully placed jack or other object, at which point it senses the obstruction and moves up to extended height. |

A new key, ready cut and programmed from a good dealer (e.g. sponsors Dusckworth and Yeovil LR) is £130-140, add £50 maximum (TBH it should be nearer half that) to pair this to the car. Keys (for pre-facelift vehicles) can only be programmed once, so second hand keys off Ebay will not work. |

The car has a FBH fitted. It is a 2005 model. How is the FBH turned on, on early models ?

Andy K, welcome. Someone will answer your FBH question, but a word of warning when you get the spare wheel fitted. When you wind the winch down and wind it up (from under the boot floor) make sure you apply some weight to the wire. You need to be a bit of a Twister professional but if you don't (and I speak from experience) you will strip the winch as the wire, with no tension, will overlap itself somehow & wreck the winch. I had to replace mine at £120 ish at a LR dealer. Its a common problem for those who merrily wind up the unweighted wire with the punctured wheel in the boot ready to drop off at the puncture repair shop - even worse if the tyre repair people use the airgun on the winch nut - that is a deffo way to release £120 from your wallet!! |

The FBH is fully automatic and operates at 5'c to help warm up the engine. You can get a man override from bell auto's which you can turn on or off at will with a remote. Use mine all the time, great to go out on a cold morning to a warm engine |
