Pela Oil Change- the wonder of it!

Did two oil changes yesterday and today and quite frankly I'm amazed....

The RRS took less than 15 minutes to do- and most of that was trying to remove an over torqued oil filter cover.

The wife's Mini took longer yesterday but only because the oil wasn't as hot. (Well, I'm not going to practice on my car am I....)

Seriously I'm in awe of how easy it made it.

I thoroughly recommend it from a speed and more importantly mess aspect, not a drop spilt on the ground, no messing around underneath the car etc.

The Pela cost £35 off eBay and arguably the most value for money item in my garage. 2012 RRS HSE. Firenze Red.

Got a link ???

How much did you drain out. Personally I like to drain all 6 ltrs, are you using that small pipe left hand side of engine bay to suck the oil out ???

This was the one-

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281657544262

It's the 6 litre one and it filled to the top ( and then some), 5.75l back in.

Literally less than 5 mins to drain through the tube. 2012 RRS HSE. Firenze Red.

Check your credit card statement/paypal transactions, please:

This is http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281657544262 as seen on a desktop.

EDIT: It seems, though, the price has hiked within last 2-3 days... Previous transactions were actually for the smaller price. I wonder if this is a sellers mistake: http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?V...7675.l2564 Regards etc.,

Australia

Could one of these (or similar) be used to extract all gearbox oil and therefore allow a home based mega flush to be carried out?

Thoughts anyone?

There are a couple of good threads on the Disco Forum where folk have used a pump up weed killer spray to flush their gearboxes.

I recently used a pump up sprayer when I changed my diff oils and transfer box oil. It really does make an awkward job easy!

I used my automatic brake fluid bleeder http://www.gunson.co.uk/item.aspx?item=1818 to change my diff oils, just took the output hose off the end cap that goes on the brake fluid reservoir

I have two of these pumps, a 7ltr and a 14 ltr one both Sealey, they are a god send when changing the oil, They get every last drop out if you place the pipe correctly, and like what has already been said they make no mess.

Flack Thumbs Up
