Happy Christmas! Hi, can anyone help please, have a cracking 56 plate supercharged v8, when I start her up in the morning there is a high pitch squeal form the engine. Sounds like it is linked to belts running. After about 3 minutes of normal driving all is quiet and perfect. It seems to be linked to air temp somehow as happens less after a warmer summer night. I had the belt tensionrs changed a couple of years ago for similar reason, but the squealing noise has started up again. Thoughts welcome. Thanks Morty. Thanks - Morty

I remember way back in 2009 there was a bulletin on "Audible 'Chirp' on Cold Start".

It was recommended to install a new idler pulley, FEAD belt, and modify the existing fan
pulley bracket.
