If I get this enabled, is there any way it will affect my LR warranty? |

No reason why it would invalidate anything. It is an optional extra |

I had mine activated at Les Paul Eastern Ave Woodford £50 For the Timer on satnav screen. I bought the Remote and receiver and aerial for remote operation, and fitted them myself. really worth having it done. Car can be warmed and de iced whilst you have your breakfast. As for your warranty, it will be no different than if it was done at the factory when new itisme |

I bought my Receiver and Ariel from Landrover Yeovil Somerset. Mention RRS Forum, i paid £165. Including postage,18 Months ago. And bought the remote on Ebay £20. The receiver fits behind O/S panel in boot, There is a cable with a plug to connect to, and a bracket for the receiver to clip into, the Ariel sticks onto the inside of the rear quarter panel . I cant remember the correct procedure for the remote setup. But it was very easy, Just a case of removing a fuse in the engine compartment, and putting it back. Believe it was 2nd from top ? Have a look in my Gaallery there are pics of bits and where they go. I don't know how to get them onto this thread itisme |

Please excuse my ignorance here as I'm very new to RRS. I took delivery only 3 weeks ago of a new 15.5 MY AB 4.4 (cancelled order from much earlier in 2015). I'd spotted on the spec printout from Topix ......Fuel Fired Htr.... I'd guessed what it might be referring to (FBH) but since the option at £1k was not on the invoice and the fact that the salesman didn't know what it referred to, I dismissed it, until this thread showed up. Under the hood I can't see anything resembling the op pics but am now hopeful a retro fit of the necessary bits can enable its use. Am I on the right track here and can anyone, preferably via a pic, show me its location on a similar/same RRS as mine? Just want to confirm I have a FBH before contacting an expert. Many thanks. Continuing from my post above I visited LR and posed the que's myself to a mechanic. He said that the Fuel Fired Heater and the FBH are two different things. At this point I'd resigned myself to not being able to upgrade to remote heating. He then pointed to what I've shown in the pics (see gallery) followed by the line that he had heard it's possible to 3rd party enable remote heating using this....hope returned.....but I began to have suspicions re his knowledge on the subject, so really I'm non the wiser. Beginning to think I'm way off track here and so I'd still appreciate some wise words in light of the above. Thanks RRS 4.4AB 15.5MY Fuji/Ivory

Bodsy looked into this a while back, and the RRS2 is not as simple to retrofit RPH or TC... |

I can do this for you. Will drop you a message. Pots1968, quite straight forward to fit. 👍 I can talk you through it. Duvl, if you don't have timed climate on the screen, then the FBH and associated plumbing will not be fitted so even though I can enable it for the fans to come on, there is no FBH to use as a park heater. You can retro fit (at least it can be enabled) but there is the minor problem of Additional wiring and pipework to fuel tank separate pump for FBH From ther to the engine bay, additional wiring for FBH Additional pipework for FBH water circuit as well as additional valve. If the body had to come off for some reason, that would be the time to retro fit it....... Is the tdv8 a 4.4 now or do you have the petrol engine? I looked out of the window this morning and saw my Blue car had gained a contrasting White Roof and Bonnet.( Thick Frost.) That was when I really missed my RRS, with remote FBH. On mornings like this, a press of a button. 15/20 mins later, And a car with clear windows and on opening the door feeling the welcoming warmth itisme |

Thanks Bodsy and others. What I've gleamed from this is that those that the upgrade was an easy fix, both parts wise (ebay) and IID tool option wise, had pre RRS2 cars. A 'body' removal is a step too far and so as I thought it's a non starter for me. The quick fix suggested by this thread sounded too good to be true. Thanks for putting me straight...perhaps the next car then RRS 4.4AB 15.5MY Fuji/Ivory
