I have also been getting a water in fuel message on the dash, took it for service with genuine parts and the faults still there I don't think there's any water in there as it's been running fine... Any ideas on how to fix this thanks jamie |

A power flush probably wouldn't help. Ive had one done and it makes the gear changes smoother but didn't fix the issue. It sounds like your gearbox just isn't engaging from 4th to 5th. Mine is the same. Bad news but you will probably need a new gearbox if you want the issue fixed. Saying that, your gearbox will carry on fine like it is for a long long time still. Get the power flush just so it doesn't get worse. I normally just put the gearstick into manual mode and switch it upto 5th gear, then put it back into auto mode. Hope that helps. |

Brake switch and/or bulbs can cause a similar issue, and a damn sight cheaper than a gearbox rebuild |
