Sway bar problem

Hi all. I've had a knocking on my 57 plate rrs tdv8 for about two weeks. Brought it 6months ago and it comes with a car care plan warrant. When I go over little bumps in the road or rock the strewing left to right while do 5mph I get a knocking sound from the o/s/f. Had it on some shaker plates today and you can feel a slight knocking through the sway bar. I took the under cover off to find that the sway bar is leaking fluid. Could this be what is causing the knocking or could it be the bushes?? Also would the sway bar be coverd under the warranty? Help and advise would be much appreciated.
Thanks Thumbs Up

The anti-roll bar should not be leaking at all so that is a separate issue to the noise. If the leak is from the pipe connections to the unit then you might be lucky and be able to replace the seals. If it's coming from where the bar itself comes from the main body of the unit then you're looking at a new anti-roll bar. The anti-roll bars are several hundred pounds and require the body to be lifted to change them.

The noise over bumps could be the anti-roll bar bushes - they are a known weak point and usually last a couple of years.

The noise you get when steering left/right/left/right in quick succession is inherent in the system - a "characteristic of the system" in Land Rover parlance. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Thanks for your input rrstdv8. I didn't no if the knocking could be coming from the anti roll bar due to it leaking. I think I will get it booked in Monday and see if the unit will be covered under the warranty. As I no the bushes won't be so will so how I go. It is leaking from somewhere around the main unit but couldn't tell where from.
Cheers Wayne

If it's the LR-branded car care plan warranty then it should cover the bar but not the bushes. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
