United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

Wow, what a fussy and over-styled back end that is. Yuck. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Keep the loaner Muddy and order a DS HSE Lux, decision made, there you go Thumbs Up

The loaner has to go back this week and it will be March/April until I got a replacement so being this close to xmas I haven't got time to sort another vehicle - looks like I'll have to accept the DS I've been waiting since June for and hope it's got no issues Confused

i read previously you have had letters stating that the finance and warranty has started, i guess you have sorted this and the car is registered from the day you collect and thats when the warranty starts also or you have lost months on that too

Ukcarbroker who did me the deal have been very helpful and pushed for me getting the loan car when LR failed to deliver in September. They are offering me refund of my deposit for the DS and a Q5 from stock with big discount and cheaper than the DS so credit where it's due Bow down

Apparently LR are tightening up on discounts so if I order a replacement I will be without wheels until March/April and pay another £1k over my June figures so this is a non starter :roll

Dealers gone quiet again so gives me time to think Exclamation

Don't you think the dealer is maybe trying to renege on the deal, and forcing you into a corner and cancel? With waiting lists well into 6 months, there are no dealers up here giving discounts on them. A bit petty on their part, to save a couple of grand, if that is the case. That wouldn't explain why they would give you a loaner though.
Have you tried asking a local dealer if they know of any delays in building the DS?

Cheers

Nothing to do with LR. You aren't buying from LR, you're buying from a third party - the dealer. The dealer can give you any discount he pleases. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Hi Nick Thumbs Up

I've posted this on the other thread but guess this was best place really Embarassed

DS delivered today finally.....

Silver roof rails fitted not black I requested - they've offered to get York to change them but not sure I want the hassle now Rolling Eyes

Scratch in boot to trim - again said York will change Shocked

Dealer has used my £400 LR delay apology payment towards delivery without discussing with me - this I'm really annoyed about Banging Head

So it's gone better than expected then Muddy.... Big Cry Whistle
Didn't you request photos of your DS prior to them delivering it? With the dealer being so far away. Sad

However, I hope you can move on now and enjoy your new motor. Bow down

FFS Shocked

I would still go after the £400, if they have done this without authority from you, £400 is a lot less than fuel it would have cost you to get it (ignoring time it would have been)

As for roof rails, get them changed, it's not your fault and have the car the way you want it
