There are still various other things that could cause it. Can you give us as much info as possible - Any black smoke? Any unusual behaviour? What warning lings and dash messages are you getting? Fault codes?

hi, iv checked most of the electrics and other things such as damp ecu's. there is no smoke what soever, just loss of power and 'engine system fault' appears on the dash board. there are no warning lights on dash. ??? i dont have a clue. |

Yes, sounding a lot like a blocked fuel filter (or failing that, the LP fuel pump). Brake switch would be another possibility. Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

thanks, il check the brake sensor. iv changed the fuel filter so it shouldn't be that but il double check. |

iv changed the brake switch this morning and checked over the electrics again and the 'engine system fault' still appears on the dash board and it wont rev over 5000 revs:( |

How high does a TDV6 normally rev? |

Hi, my tdv6 only revs to 4000rpm that's reving it in park and in drive it changes gear at 4000 rpm when I floor it, I haven't tried it in manual mode, would really like to no if this is normal, drives good and doesn't lack in power.... |

That is the norm for the tdv6, i was just intrigued by the 5000rpm comment |
