Thanks Disco_Mikey, Had a quick look this morning removed compressor plastic cover to exposes the compressor and with spray bottle and soapy water found that there is a leak in-between the red and blue 6mm push in fittings, it would be a cheaper fix just to buy the end cap but looking at the state of the compressor it may be that trying to remove the pins would be nightmare, i may as well bite the bullet and by new compressor, the part number on the pump is as follows RQG500080, would this be the an a Hitachi pump, or is there an alternative one which would fit, [/list] |

The cap is available from a popular auction site for £30 or so.

hi guys changed compressors today after finding the old one had split on end cap and split on opposite end, fitting new one got rid of fault code but I need to ask question regarding compressor heat, when removing old one I had to cut the pipes which I could remove from old push fit connectors used some straight connectors to connect back to the new one, and connected nylon pipes to compressor, but after around 5 mins of testing compressor I noticed how hot the new compressor was and it stated to make the directly pipes soft, should the compressor get this hot or is there another fault, thanks guys |
