Scotland 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Santorini Black
Range Rover Sport 3.0 SDV6 SE AUTO VESUVIUS ORANG help

Went to see this today, its an Overfinch in VESUVIUS ORANGE is this the right colour for a 2011 model.
I like the colour but just wondered how it would sell after a few years.
It was nice but did have a fw faults, the display on the passangers side heat control knob was cracked (strange one) & one of the rear roof light was hanging out.
I am sure the garage would repair them both.
The headliner was also a suede material in black which felt nice but again was this standard are all these things Overfinch.
I did have a look at colours in that year but none of them listed Vesuvius Orange.

Help and opinions would help

Is it a wrap or is it a repainted car? Over finch do bespoke conversions so it could be a repaint. IMHO a used Overfinch, Kahn, Revere or any of the other "conversions" or "modifications" are actually worth less than a standard car as they are "personalised" to the taste of the original purchaser. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

It has been painted not wrapped, I had never seen an RRS in this colour and it just stood out.
The garage is looking for almost £40k for the car with 35k miles which I think is a bit on the steep side.
I have an Autobiography which is slighty newer and after a long think about the Overfinch I think I will just keep my one.
The garage only deal in 4x4's and most are Land Rover, Autobiographys sell within a week of comming in but this Overfinch has been there for over two months so that tells a story in it's self. Sad
I do like it though Lot of Landcruisers now sold

Why not wrap your own car that colour?

Just one more question................. If it really is Vesuvius Orange then that was a Scintachrome colour, most insurers will not cover it as in the event of damage the entire car has to be resprayed not just the damaged panel. The way to tell if it is one of these paints is to walk around it and it should seem to change colour, the original Vesuvius changed from a muddy brown shade to a vibrant orange, the car on the site banner sort of shows it, the front panel being a different shade to the rear as the sun shines. In the original LR publicity photos they never showed the car looking yukky brown it always looked vibrant orange! Nissan and TVR used these paints for many of their cars, if you were feeling very flash with the cash then LR used to charge an additional £10k to have the old Autobiography paint treatment (yes sir you can have any colour you like but we do have this pallete of 30 additional special colours!) which was done by SVO (the folks that now build the SVR) 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Frax - I think you have made the right choice. Both vesuvius orange and, to a slightly lesser extent, Overfinch are definitely marmite options that may significantly reduce their saleability and hence their resale value. If you are concerned about resale then I wouldn't touch either with a bargepole.

Scotland 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Santorini Black

It was very hard to tell if it changed colour as the day I went to see it it was raining, I know that was a bad start in the first place. Not that flash with cash so wont be going for a wrap or respray, I will just stick with Black which is alway nice when it clean, sady I stay up a farm road so clean does not happen a lot at this time or year, I do wash it but by the time I get to the main road its dirty again.
I am going to stick with what I have Thumbs Up
I need to stop going to garages as I am a nightmare - switch the internet of and just sit back and enjoy the Autobiography as it is a great car..

For the record, I totally agree, you should keep what you have.

Any car with with those [admittedly minor] interior faults / damage suggests to me one thing: UNLOVED. And to pay a £10k (?) premium doesn't feel right. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

You are right, if my car had a light hanging out it would be fixed the same day or as soon as I could get parts.
As for the crack in the temp screen on the switch, how does anyone smash one of them is beyond me.
