I was in my local dealer today and mentioned the fuel slap problem. The sales rep told me that new fuel tanks were designed and fitted to enable fitting of the ad blue tank to meet Euro 6 emissions. Not sure if Euro 6 came in before or after MY16. Anyway he implied the new fuel tank has designed out the slap/slosh problem but if there are MY16 owners who have/are experiencing the problem then he was obviously taking the ad blue...!

parish, AFAIK MY16 is the first RRS that complies with Euro 6b and has a DEF/AdBlue tank. I can confirm the design still has the problem. Sorry, can't comment on what your sales rep was inhaling. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

If the rumours are true about what ad blue is made of, it was metaphorically something he was ejecting from his body through another orifice...

My MY16 with Euro6 (delivered mid Sep) has the slop when less than half full, I've decided to refill where possible at half full from now on. I'm not letting any LR service boys grubby mits get near my baby's rear end at least until the next service.

Just when you thought it was all over ..... and my sloshing fuel tank was fixed ....

I filled up for the first time today .... it took 10 minutes for 75% of a tank ... Shocked

The safety on the nozzle kept kicking in every second ...

and there was enormous amounts of overspill and splash back coming out fuel inlet ....

What the freaking heck have my dealership done .... Censored Censored Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

Has anyone else experienced this .... 2014.5 SDV6 AB Dynamic ... Fuji /Santorini Pan roof and 22's

I have refilled once since the baffle plates were fitted and didn't experience a vomiting fuel tank. Could it be a faulty nozzle stopping when it shouldn't and not stopping when it should? Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

I'm off on a 250km drive first thing so i'll fill up when I get there and see what happens ...

Hopefully fkarim you are right and it was a faulty nozzle ... but it just seemed to much of a coincidence !!
