Good DECT phone?

Folks,

At home we currently have a Philips Onis 300 DECT phone/ansaphone with three further handsets spread about various rooms. We've had these coming up on 4 yrs and they're showing their age now... buttons take a few presses, phone book comes and goes etc so time to change them for something new.

Requirements:

Digital cordless with three handsets
Caller display
Intercom capability between handsets
Centralised phone book available from all handsets
Clear, fuzz-free transmission
Backlit display
Interface has to be simple for Mrs Shmoogle's use

I'm looking at the Philips 515 range, which looks to tick the boxes and the reviews I've read show it in a favourable light.

Has anyone else recently been through the selection process with similar reqs as above. If so, what did you get? What do people currently have & can recommend?

Oh go on then ! We've got BT 'calypso' 1120 's - had them for a about 6 months and they work great. I work from home so use them a lot, but the battery lasts fine, even after the heaviest days of ear burning ! You can call up the different handsets too which saves those shouting conversations around the house !

We have the BT studio quad pack which have been spot on bar one fault I need to look into - the furthest H/S from base seems to drop standby comms which I think is just a posn issue. I agree the internal call function is a must to save shouting around the house...

In the shop we have the Panasonic range KX-TCA old model now but the best handset's we've ever had. The only down side is the key pad has worn out over time from going in and out of our pockets. The new one's now have a Nokia style metal key pad witch should last a bit longer Very Happy RRS TDV6 Gone but still around

I was looking to replace our Dect phones, but have had second thoughts after reading various articles similar to this link about Dect Phones... Sad

It made me think about the bedside phone that is transmitting next to your head every night Shocked
So don't have a base station in the bedroom anymore, just a slave phone, although not sure if this is any better Confused Arrived - RRSport 2016 HSE SDV6 HSE

Thanks for the input, chaps.

Someone else said about the BT range being pretty good. We did have a set of BT phones once and they were rubbish, but I guess the products have moved on since then.
