There is a bit of a misnomer on these, they are not Daylight Running Lights, never were intended to be DRL's hence the name "signature headlights". LR introduced them a couple of years before DRL's became mandatory to answer the demand for BMW and Audi style angel eye lamp modifications that could be bought through aftermarket suppliers. I had my own 2007 RRS Adaptive headlights modified to have the Audi style "smile" of LED's in the lighting units by Hawke. There was a way to enable them in the vehicle setup if you have the IID tool as they were required for markets like Sweden and Poland long before they were required here and can be enabled through that route. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

This is what it says in the manual but do not think its for UK cars but could be wrong.

Thats what I read that seems to suggest they only work with the headlamps turned off and not in auto which is a crapper as I would have to keep switching them on and off which defeats the point of auto lamps lol |

As far as I am aware I do not know of any RRS1 that have the headlight DRL's activated - there has been a few of us that have looked at having the function enabled to match - Canadian / Scandinavian markets. I gave up after it seemed the dealership did not have clue what I was on about

You can activate these using a IIDTool if you have one, but I can't remember what it actually turns on I have a feeling it also turns dip beam on as well.

Good work Col - what IID tool are you using - I'd like my sidelights activated - i drive round with them on anyway to mimic DRL's 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............
