UPDATE ON MEGA FLUSH!!! I've spoke to Geoff and I have a date Saturday 17th October, location is Wellington (just outside Taunton) as long as it is GARENTEED at least 4 members (couple more would be even better) with tdv6 RR sport or or disco 3/4 tdv6, if defenatly want a flush private message me with name, location, and contact number and I will call you with more details, the sooner the better to get everything organised. Admin I hope I'm not breaking any rules, if I am please let me no and I will amend it. Regards Lee. |

For those unaware, the gearbox flush is now recommended by ZF at 50-75k. It's essential to preserve the life of the box that it gets fresh oil, and in time. If you've reached 50k+ and the transmission hasn't yet had fresh oil, then I would strongly recommend that you get this done. Please don't hesitate and leave it too late, or torque converter replacement, or worse, a full gearbox recon is the result. Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Had mine flushed and re-oiled by Neil at Bristol Transmissions. A really straight up guy who knows his stuff.

Not sure specifically, but I would certainly apply it to the 8 speed too. The advice of changing ATF sooner and more frequently pretty much applies to autoboxes as a whole.
