I havent got the old plates and didnt want to really go spend £25 on a set just for say 4 days?

You miss my point. You don't need to change the plates. You can clearly run it on the old plates for ages. It will take a few days for the new V5C to come through anyway.

ahhhhh I thought you ment the old plates as in the ones prior to my private plate fitted lol.
Yeah my plan is to visit the RRS on Saturday, see if I ok with it, condition etc. All being well I will do the plate retention next Saturday on the way back on the train.

Bizarrely, the online system only works something like 9-5 on Monday to Friday.

Yeah i know, automated system that has working hours lol but it works on Saturdays to but not Sundays lol
